HSKC Attends “15th Five-Year Plan” Symposium: Unlocking New Opportunities in Hong Kong through AI Spatial Ecology

On 19 March 2026, the “New National Development, New Opportunities for Hong Kong – Opening Symposium of the 15th Five-Year Plan” was successfully held in Beijing. Jointly organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China, the event attracted over 500 Hong Kong business leaders and enterprise representatives from across Mainland China. Dr Henry Yang, Co-founder of HSKC, and Ms Lynn Lin, Senior Operating Partner, attended the event on behalf of the company as members of the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China. Together with participants from various sectors, they engaged in in-depth discussions on the strategic direction of the upcoming Five-Year Plan.


As an AI enterprise backed by the Hong Kong Science Park Seed Fund, HSKC maintains strong ties with Hong Kong’s innovation and technology ecosystem. During the symposium, the company paid particular attention to insights shared by Dr Sunny Chai, Chairman of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, regarding the development of Hong Kong as an international innovation and technology centre. In addition, HSKC has been selected to participate in the upcoming “China Resources x HKSTP” road show in Hong Kong next Friday, further strengthening its engagement with local innovation resources.


The symposium featured a distinguished line-up of speakers. Mr Paul Chan, Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, delivered the keynote address. Remarks were also given by Mr Yuan Xiaoming, Member of the CPC Leadership Group and Assistant Minister of Commerce, and Mr He Yaqiong, Director-General of the Department of Consumer Goods Industry at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Opening addresses were delivered by Professor Frederick Ma, Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and Ms Judith Yu, President of the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China.


The thematic discussion sessions were moderated by Mr Jacky Chung, Chief Representative of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in Mainland China. The first session, titled “Insights from the Two Sessions: National Needs and Hong Kong’s Strengths”, brought together Dr Sunny Chai, Chairman of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation; Dr Levin Wang, Chief Executive Officer of Huatai Financial Holdings (Hong Kong) Limited, and Mr Fang Zhou, Research Director at the One Country Two Systems Research Institute, to explore how Hong Kong can leverage its unique advantages. The second session, “Opportunities for Hong Kong Enterprises: Integration into National Development and Corporate Action”, featured Mr Xu Li, Chief Executive Officer of SenseTime, Mr Carl Wu, Chief Executive Officer of New Frontier Group, and Mr Cao Zhixin, Vice Chairman of Yongxin Optics and Founder of Yichang Capital. They shared forward-looking perspectives on corporate strategies across artificial intelligence, healthcare, and industrial investment.
